Jonathan Trimble

Jonathan Trimble is the founder of Bawn LLC in Austin, Texas, and a senior security executive with more than 25 years of experience in information security and technology. His specialties include cybersecurity, intelligence, security operations, information technology and IT security controls. Prior to starting Bawn, Mr. Trimble was a special agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He led several complex criminal and counterintelligence investigations, which included the dismantling of international organizations involved in cybercrime and financial institution fraud. In doing so, he developed a skill for penetrating multiple levels of stolen identities to identify hard-to-find subjects and their locations.Mr. Trimble eventually rose to become a senior executive at the FBI and managed large-scale technical projects, identified best practices and developed organizational initiatives for “leap ahead” gains for the agency. After completing his career with the FBI, he served as an executive at a rapid-growth cyber security firm. Mr. Trimble has chaired the Virginia Area Maritime Security Council Cyber Subcommittee, which raises awareness of maritime-related cybersecurity issues with government, private industry and industry association members. He most recently served as the government vice-chair on ACT-IAC’sCyber Community of Interest, which provides industry and federal government members opportunities to identify and provide solutions to critical cybersecurity challenges. Mr. Trimble is a graduate of the<br>U.S. Coast Guard Academy, where he received his B.S. in naval architecture and marine engineering.He subsequently earned his M.S. in strategic intelligence from the National Intelligence University and his M.S. in systems architecture and engineering from the University of Southern California. In 2018, he completed the Chief Information Security Officer program at Carnegie Mellon University.
