Jessica Price Smith

Hon. Jessica E. Price Smith is a U.S. Bankruptcy Judge for the Northern District of Ohio in Cleveland, appointed on Aug. 22, 2011. She is the first African-American woman to be appointed to the NorthernDistrict of Ohio’s bankruptcy court. Prior to joining the bench, Judge Price Smith’s practice focused on commercial bankruptcy and corporate debt restructurings at Brouse McDowell, where she became the firm’s first African American partner. She received her undergraduate degree from Miami University and her J.D. from Ohio Northern University.
