Jason Vincent Stitt, Esq.

Jason V. Stitt is a partner with Keating Muething & Klekamp PLL in Cincinnati and practices in the firm’s Commercial Finance & Reorganization Group, where he concentrates in the areas of bankruptcy, reorganization and creditors’ rights. He counsels individuals and companies in matters related to federal bankruptcy cases, including plan confirmation, substantive consolidation, relief from stay, § 363 sales and bid procedures, disallowance of claims, DIP financing, nondischargeability of debts, mass tort asbes- tos bankruptcies, and out-of-court debt restructurings and workouts. Mr. Stitt routinely advises clients regarding contractual rights in bankruptcy and liquidation matters and priority rights under the Uniform Commercial Code. He has experience defending bankruptcy preference and fraudulent-conveyance actions, and he has represented defendants in officer and director liability cases and Ponzi scheme claims. Mr. Stitt has appeared in bankruptcy courts across the country. Prior to joining KMK in 2004, he prac- ticed with Sawyer & Glancy PLLC, a boutique commercial finance and bankruptcy firm in Lexington, Ky. Mr. Stitt sits on the editorial board of ABI’s VOLO Circuit Court Responder website, is a member of the Attorney Advisory Committee for the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Ohio, and is a member of the Ohio, Cincinnati and Kentucky Bar Associations. He received his B.A. in 1997 from the University of Kentucky and his J.D. in 2002 from the University of Kentucky College of Law.
