Hugh Dickson

Hugh Dickson is a partner in the Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands, office of Grant Thornton LLP and has 20 years of experience in corporate finance, with a particular emphasis in restructuring, insolvency and the financial sector. He also focuses on the management, restructuring and resolution of nonperforming debts and assets, particularly in emerging markets, and has coordinated the negotiation of multi-billion-dollar sales transactions and complex restructuring deals. Mr. Dickson has experience managing, operating, restructuring and selling companies, often in difficult circumstances, and also in dealing with value<br>realization where market conditions make straight sales infeasible or value destructive. Industries he has<br>worked with include financial services, including banking and hedge funds, deposit insurance, automotive and mining. Mr. Dickson is a member of the Joint Insolvency Examination Board and of the Scottish Chartered Accountants professional body (CA) He holds an M.A. in economics and accountancy.
