Emery G. Lee, III

Dr. Emery G. Lee III is a senior researcher at the Federal Judicial Center in Washington, D.C., the research and education agency of the federal courts. Since 2010, he has served as FJC liaison to the Judicial Conference Advisory Committee on Civil Rules, studying, among other things, aggregate litigation, disclosure and discovery, and default judgments. From 2001-02, Dr. Lee clerked for Hon. Karen Nelson Moore of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. He received his Ph.D. in political science from Vanderbilt University in 1996 and his J.D. from Case Western Reserve in 2001.
