Deborah Chandler

Deborah R. Chandler is the president of Anderson & Karrenberg in Salt Lake City and represents debtors, creditors and trustees in all aspects of title 11 work, including subchapter V cases. She also is frequently called upon to represent defendants in various adversary proceedings, including avoidance actions and nondischargeability proceedings. In addition to successfully reorganizing companies in chapter 11, Ms. Chandler also represents debtors in private restructurings and state court dissolution proceedings. She has represented receivers and defended actions brought by receivers. In addition to her bankruptcy practice, Ms. Chandler maintains a diverse commercial and civil litigation practice. One of her specialties is probate litigation, including both guardianships and conservatorships. Ms. Chandler is routinely selected by her peers as a member of Utah’s Legal Elite and has been a frequent speaker on such topics as notice requirements under § 363. She received her B.S. cum laude in marketing and finance from the University of Utah in 2004 and her J.D. in 2008 from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, where she received the CALI Award for highest grade in intellectual property and the College of Law Award for second-highest grade in corporate finance.
