Cristine Pirro Schwarzman
Cristine Pirro Schwarzman is a restructuring partner in Ropes & Gray LLP’s New York office. Previously, she worked as the term clerk for Chief Judge Gonzalez of the Southern District of New York, then joined the restructuring group of another preeminent New York law firm. Ms. Schwarzman represents debtors, lenders and investors, including private-equity sponsors, in connection with acquisitions, out-of-court restructurings and chapter 11 cases. She also advises boards of directors and senior management of distressed companies regarding fiduciary duties and corporate governance. Ms. Schwarzman isa member and prior board member of the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation and a member of the Local Bankruptcy Rules Committee for the Southern District of New York.She received her B.A. cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania in 2007 and her J.D. in 2010 from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, as well as a Certificate in Business Economics and PublicPolicy from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, where she was a teaching fellow with the Marshall Brennan Constitutional Law Literacy Project.
