Christopher C. Simpson is a partner with Stinson Leonard Street LLP in Phoenix and has more than 18 years of experience in financial restructuring and business matters. His practice includes representing debtors, creditors, committees and buyers in business bankruptcy proceedings and out-of-court restruc- turing matters. Mr. Simpson has particular expertise in the health care industry and has represented phy- sician groups, hospitals, assisted living and skilled nursing facilities, and buyers and sellers of distressed health care facilities and operations. He also has considerable experience with the unique aspects of re- organizing physician practices. Mr. Simpson has restructuring experience in a wide range of industries, including, manufacturing, retail, construction, telecommunications and financial services. His practice also includes representation of Native American and tribal entities in transactional, infrastructure, cor- porate and governance matters. He maintains an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell. Mr. Simpson is a member of the American Inns of Court - Arizona Bankruptcy, ABI and the State Bar of Arizona's Bankruptcy Section, and he is admitted to practice in Arizona, the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Mr. Simpson received his B.S. in 1991 from Northern Arizona University, where he received the Top Scholarship Award from the National Journal- ism Society; his M.B.A. in 1997 from the University of Arizona; and his J.D. summa cum laude in 1997 from the University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif, was executive note editor of the Arizona Law Review, and received the First-Year Law Student Award for highest class ranking.
