Christian A. Saxenhammer

Christian A. Saxenhammer is a managing director of Saxenhammer & Co. Corporate Finance GmbH in Berlin. Having studied European business in the U.K. and Germany, he joined the restructuring practice of Roland Berger Strategy Consultants. Following a tenure at Lincoln International, where he headed its Special Situations Group, Mr. Saxenhammer founded an M&A boutique focussing on special situations and distressed M&A in 2006. He and his team of 18 professionals have advised on more than 200 M&A and debt transactions in the special-situations area and have advised shareholders, creditors and insolvency administrators on the sale of companies in special situations. The cross-border distressed M&A transactions have led to the foundation of the GSSM&A network, an alliance of invest- ment banks specializing in special situation transactions, providing direct access to investors in the U.S., Latin America and Asia.
