Bruce Sim

Bruce Sim is a senior managing director and executive vice president of Development in the Atlanta office of GlassRatner Advisory and Capital Group, LLC. He has more than 30 years of management and executive experience in the financial services industry, specializing in turnarounds, asset-based fi- nance and structured finance in the U.S., Canada, Singapore, the Caribbean and Central America. Prior to joining GlassRatner, Mr. Sim was head of Capital Markets and Wealth Management at Royal Bank of Canada in the Caribbean and Central America. Based in Port of Spain, Trinidad, he was responsible for the bank's corporate and sovereign lending, investment banking, foreign exchange trading, deriva- tives trading, fixed-income trading, corporate trust and asset-management businesses across the region. Mr. Sim began his career in middle-market commercial finance with TD Bank in Toronto, then helped establish a new energy lending office in Denver. In 1989, he joined Heller Financial (now a unit of GE Capital), covering private-equity sponsors, before moving to Singapore in 1993 as an executive in the group's Asia/Pacific factoring business. He joined FINOVA Capital Corp. in 1996 and became head of Loan Syndication and International Operations in Atlanta and Los Angeles. He was subsequently recruited in 2001 by Wells Fargo to head up its southeast regional asset-based lending arm, and in 2009 was appointed senior vice president and regional manager for Wells Fargo Global Banking in Miami. Mr. Sim has served on the board of directors of TMA International and as president of TMA's Georgia Chapter, and is a member of the Florida International Bankers Association and Royal Fidelity (a Nassau- based joint venture between Royal Bank and Fidelity Bank Cayman). He received his B.S. from the University of Toronto and his M.B.A. from York University in Canada.
