Brian P. Welch
Brian P. Welch is a partner at Burke, Warren, MacKay & Serritella, P.C. in Chicago and is a member of the firm’s Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy practice group. His practice is primarily focused on the fields of bankruptcy, business reorganization, debtors’ and creditors’ rights, insolvency and commercial litigation. He has represented diverse groups of clients including individual and corporate debtors in chapter 11 and 7 proceedings, secured and unsecured creditors, estate representatives such as chapter 7 and 11 trustees, plan administrators and assignees for the benefit of creditors. Mr. Welch has been recognized as a “Rising Star” in the field of Business Bankruptcy by Illinois Super Lawyers magazine and as an “Emerging Lawyer” in the field of Bankruptcy & Workout Law by Illinois Emerging Lawyers magazine. He received his B.A. in 2008 from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, where he made the Dean’s List, and his J.D. cum laude in 2011 from The John Marshall Law School, where he was a member of The John Marshall Law Review, on the executive board of the Moot Court Honors Program and on the Dean’s List.
