Bragg E. Hemme is a shareholder with Polsinelli in Denver, where she focuses her practice on government payer concerns such as Medicare, Medicare Advantage, Medicaid and Medicaid-managed care reimbursement, Enrollment issues and appeals, licensure and certification, diligence support related to regulatory and reimbursement issues arising from transactions, post-transaction support to maintain revenue, regulatory and reimbursement compliance. payer disputes and audit support, and fraud and abuse. She has worked with numerous health care entities, including hospitals and their provider-based departments, behavioral health organizations, dialysis suppliers, medical device companies, pharmacies, clinical laboratories, rural health care and other providers servicing underserved or health professional shortage areas, critical-access hospitals (CAHs), rural health clinics (CRHCs), FOHCs and community hospitals. She also works with private-equity firms in the health care space, bringing her strong regulatory and reimbursement background in to support the success of their health care platform, whether the investment is short- or long-term. Ms. Hemme co-chairs Polsinelli’s Reimbursement Institute, bringing Polsinelli industry leaders together to navigate the most complex issues in the evolving reimbursement space. She also co-chairs Polsinelli’s Behavioral Health practice area, bringing a unique and multi disciplinary focus to providers in the behavioral health space. Ms. Hemme is a member of the AmericanHealth Lawyers Association, American Bar Association’s Health Law Section, Colorado Bar Association’s Health Law Section, and the Healthcare Financial Management Association’s Colorado Chapter.She received the 14th Annual M&A Advisor Turnaround Awards for Healthcare/Life Sciences Deal of the Year and the 11th Annual Americas M&A Atlas Awards, for USA Restructuring Deal of the Year.Previously, Ms. Hemme clerked for Hon. Rebecca Love Kourtis in the Colorado Supreme Court. She received her B.A. magna cum laude from the University of Colorado in 1996 and her J.D. in 2002 from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, where she received the Order of St. Ives.
