Bahram N. Mr. Vakil is among India’s foremost restructuring, infrastructure and project finance attorneys and has been acknowledged as a leading restructuring and project finance lawyer by most international publications, including The World’s Leading Lawyers forBusiness and Chambers & Partners. He is co-chair of the International Insolvency Institute’s Interna-tional Development & Practice Committee, a member of the FICCI National Executive Committee andCapital Markets Committee’s Sub Group on Ease of Doing Business, a member of the Committee ofExperts constituted by the International Finance Services Centre Authority (IFSC) to recommend mea-sures/create a framework for the transfer of stressed loans from domestic lenders to permitted financial institutions in IFSC, and a member of the Taskforce on Scaling Voluntary Carbon Markets, a private-sector initiative working to scale an effective and efficient voluntary carbon credit market to help meet the goals of the Paris Agreement. He also is a member of the Insolvency Law Amendment Committee, constituted by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, to recommend amendments to the IBC, and a member of the Task Force on the Development of Secondary Market for Corporate Loans, set up by the ReserveBank of India. Mr. Vakil received his LL.M. from Columbia University and is a member of the NewYork State Bar.
