<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Amanda R. Steele</strong> is a director at Richards, Layton &amp; Finger, P.A. in Wilmington, Del., where she focuses her practice on corporate restructuring, bankruptcy and other insolvency matters. She regularly represents and advises debtors, secured lenders, creditors and other interested parties in all aspects of chapter 11 cases, as well as foreign representatives in chapter 15 ancillary proceedings. She also is a member of the firm’s substantive nonconsolidation opinion team. During law school, Ms. Steele interned for Hon. Justice Henry duPont Ridgely and for the Villanova University School of Law’s Federal Tax Clinic. She also received the Dr. Arthur Clement Pulling Award for Outstanding Contribution to the <em>Villanova Law Review</em>. Ms. Steele is a member of the Delaware State Bar Association’s Young Lawyer’s Section, which she vice chaired from 2013-15, and the International Women’s Insolvency &amp; Restructuring Confederation’s Delaware Network, which she chaired from 2019-2020. In addition, she was honored in 2023 as one of ABI’s 40 under 40, and she has been listed in <em>Chambers USA</em> since 2017, <em>The Best Lawyers in America</em> since 2023 and <em>Super Lawyers</em> from 2018-20, and as a <em>Delaware Today</em> “Top Lawyer” from 2021-23. Ms. Steele received her B.A. <em>magna cum laude </em>in political science from American University in 2006, and her J.D. <em>magna cum laude</em> in 2010 from Villanova University School of Law, where she served as managing editor of special projects for the <em>Villanova Law Review</em>.</p>
